Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the EngiIntel platform operated by EngiIntel ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for or using EngiIntel, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have the authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of your organisation, and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

EngiIntel provides an AI-powered document intelligence platform designed for regulated industries. The service allows users to upload technical documents (PDFs, Excel files, images) and query them using natural language via a retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipeline.

3. Beta Programme

During the Beta Access phase, the service is provided free of charge or at reduced cost in exchange for feedback. Beta features may be incomplete, change without notice, or be discontinued. We make no guarantees about availability or data retention during the beta period.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload documents containing personal data of third parties without lawful basis
• Use the platform to process classified or government-secret information
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the underlying AI models
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable regulations
• Share your account credentials with third parties

5. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all documents and data you upload. By uploading content, you grant EngiIntel a limited licence to process that content solely for the purpose of delivering the service to you. EngiIntel retains all rights to the platform, models, and generated outputs (excluding your original content).

6. Data and Privacy

Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. We process data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable UK data protection law.

7. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". AI-generated outputs are for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional engineering, legal, or compliance advice. You are solely responsible for verifying any AI-generated information before acting on it.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EngiIntel disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall EngiIntel be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Modifications to the Service and Terms

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time. We may update these Terms and will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service immediately ceases. You may request deletion of your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
