EngiIntel ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our platform at engiintel.com. We process data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

• Infrastructure providers – Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), Groq (AI inference) — all under data processing agreements

All processors are contractually bound to use data only for the purposes we specify.

Documents you upload are stored in encrypted form for the sole purpose of powering the search and AI query features. During the Beta period, documents may be retained until your account is deleted. We do not use your documents to train AI models.

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Usage logs are retained for up to 12 months. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@engiintel.com.

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Request erasure ("right to be forgotten")
• Restrict or object to processing
• Data portability
• Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior lawful processing)

10. International Transfers

Some processors (e.g. Groq for AI inference) operate in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the UK/EEA, we ensure adequate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the ICO.

We implement technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption at rest and in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The platform is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
